Seekers Guidance

Want to learn the basics of Islam? Do you want to delve deeper into one or more of the Islamic sciences? Looking for high quality, reliable and accessible educational resources?

SeekersGuidance was established to fulfill the communal obligation (fard kifaya) of cultivating individuals and communities through the spread of knowledge.  Their goal is to reach all segments of the Muslim community, excluding no one, and to operate on a large enough scale that any who wish to learn will have the opportunity.

  • Online Academy, offers a clear curriculum-based path for students of varying needs and aspirations, taught by highly qualified, well-respected scholars.  400 students per term take part in a growing catalog of courses.
    Courses range from Basic to Advanced and cover a range of topics (e.g. Hadith, Qur'an, Spirituality, etc.).
    Each course offers: downloadable MP3 files, review questions after each lesson, 24/7 access to the instructor via SeekersForum, and live Q&A Sessions after every four lessons
  • Answers Servicewhich lets you ask scholars questions of concern to you in your own life, or search for relevant answers in the archives.  Scholars answer around 5,000 answers a year — 10-20 per day!

Ilm Foundation

ILM Foundation is a transformational educational institution and resource centre that provides mainstream, authentic, and reliable Islamic knowledge to the Montreal Muslim community. Through a variety of services, ILM Foundation aims to encompass the transmission of formal and practical knowledge and understanding of Islam on both the individual and communal levels.

  • Halaqas & Courses, often held in collaboration with MSA McGill, Ilm foundation offers many intensive knowledge circles (halaqas) focusing on Theology, Hadith Sciences, Jurisprudence and Spirituality.

Ta'leef Collective

Ta’leef Collective began as an idea in 2002 and was born into an independent organization in 2009.  Ta’leef Collective provides the space, content and companionship necessary for a healthy understanding, embrace and realization of Islam. With branches in California and Chicago (USA), Ta'leef provides many useful resources for Muslims around the world, particularly for young Muslim adults.
